OK, the "normal" Sony HDR HC9 that I've used has a worn recording head. It also doesn't render close ups of churning water & rapids that well as it only shoots in 1080i. (See my last video as well as the first two segments of "Echoes FINAL Version" in HD setting on the large screen for an example). ...
